How do Canes fans feel about Jordan Staals performance thus far?

How do you feel about the trade of Sutter, the 8th pick and Doumoulin, and then giving Jordan 6 million per for 10 years? - Would you want to do this trade again?

Very well written, Matt.

It's refreshing to read about the happier days right now during this AWFUL stretch of hockey (and I don't just mean the last month and a half. I mean the last several years).

Next year needs to be different. Mediocrity cannot be accepted anymore in the Carolina organization. It's time for a culture change.

Very good. Sutter is a tremendous player, but not of the same caliber of J. Staal.

It hasn't been a great year for Jordan, but then again, it hasn't been a great year for about 85% of the team. I expect next year after he has a full offseason to work in with his new teammates, you'll see a dramatic increase in his statistical output.

Jordan is a 50-60 point guy. He can kill penalties... can win draws and is a big body. He is not a 6 million dollar a year guy and isn't going to "WOW" you every night. Not sure what the big fuss is.. he is a 2nd line center in this league.

He wouldn't be a 1st line center on really any team (maybe a few).. he was already a 3rd line center on one.

Obviously he is more than able to continue getting better and improving.. but I don't see it happening for a few years.

Yes sir! Joki has been a lot better than expected...and I should say, at least 85% of the people on our board didn't want to acquire him. I was one of the 15% who wanted to bring him for a cup run.
